HOW TO PROTECT YOUR BRAIN FROM ELECTROMAGNETIC POLLUTION

Did you know

  • One hours’ mobile phone use per day increases your risk of a brain tumour by 40%
  • According to neurosurgeon Keith Black, holding a mobile phone has the same effect on your brain cells as microwaving has on food – you are essentially cooking your brain.

What are EMFs/E-Smog?

Not found in Nature and often referred to as ‘dirty electricity’, non-ionising radiation comes from wi-fi, laptops, mobiles, baby monitors, cordless phones, microwaves, routers, electrical appliances, etc.

But you don’t need to stop using them – just make sure you know how to protect yourself.

Children have thinner skulls and are more susceptible to the effects of EMFS.  In France, they have banned the use of wi-fi in schools.

How do EMFS affect the brain?

  • scramble your brain’s own electrochemical impulses
  • damage the hypothalamus which regulates the autonomic nervous system, causing hormonal and other metabolic imbalances including weight gain and sweet cravings
  • increase risk of early onset dementia and neurological diseases such as Alzheimer’s Parkinson’s, Motor Neurone disease and MS
  • Increase the risk of brain tumours (on the side where the phone is held)
  • loss of calcium ions in the cells which affects cell function and signalling
  • impair brain development in babies and children causing developmental delays and learning difficulties
  • increase the risk of autism and other neuro-developmental disorders – an Israeli study showed a correlation between autism and preconceptual laptop use in fathers
  • block production of alpha brain waves suppressing creativity and causing anxiety and depression
  • block production of delta waves, causing sleep disturbance and light, unrefreshing sleep
  • decrease pineal function lowering melatonin levels and reducing immunity
  • cause brain fog, poor concentration and short term memory loss
  • disturb all known innate rhythms such as EEG, heart rate variability, breathing pattern, 24-hour meridian activity, bowel movements, detoxification and cell transport
  • lock blood-brain barrier in stuck open position (leaky brain
  • increase feelings of stress and anxiety due to activation of glutamate receptors in the brain
  • make it difficult to relax or meditate

The blood brain barrier plays a vitally important role in in protecting the brain from pathogens, heavy metals and chemical toxins. EMFs cause it to become permeable causing damage to brain cells, DNA breaks, induced stress proteins and nerve damage. In the short term, this causes cognitive impairment, lowered mood, increased feelings of anxiety and poor sleep.  In the long term, it can result in brain tumours and neurological diseases.

Heavy metals are good conductors of electricity.  Mercury (from fillings) and aluminium are found in everyone today.  They act like aerials, amplifying EMFs and forming a grid around the metals themselves making it difficult to remove them.

In 2011, the International Agency for Research on Cancer (ARC) within the World Health Organisation, classified radiofrequency EMFs as Group 2B – possibly carcinogenic to humans – based on an increased risk glioma, a type of brain cancer associated with wireless phone use.

In 2013, Lennart Hardell, MD, PhD and Marchael Carlberg from the Dept of Oncology at the Orebro University Hospital, Sweden, advised that mobile and cordless phones should be classified as a Group 1 carcinogen, saying “…current guidelines need to be urgently revised”.

Dr Havas published a paper in 2010 documenting definitive evidence that radiation from a cordless phone causes heart arrhythmia and tachycardia (fast heart rate) and alters the balance of the autonomic nervous system putting it in a fight or flight (stress) response, increasing feelings of anxiety.

Brain Development in Children

As babies learn, connections are formed between nerve cells which grow little branches called dendrites. This is known as arborisation and is most active during the first two years of life. The growth of dendrites is guided by micro-currents but these are scrambled by EMFs, leading to developmental delays and learning difficulties.  EMFs also cause a free radical damage, which increases the risk of cancer, including brain tumours, and accelerates ageing due to cellular damage.

Body voltage in the sleeping location

The body acts like an antenna for electric fields. Our brain cells operate at voltages between 80 and 120 milliVolt. Artificially induced body voltage (EMFs) interfere with our normal physiology at a level at or above 80mVs.  Reported damage includes cell signalling mechanisms and transcription changes to DNA which is passed on to new cells and epigenetically to our children.
